During his earlier assignments as Director (Process Chemistry) with Sai Life Sciences and Associate Director (Custom Pharmaceutical Services) with Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Dr. Rama Mohan was actively involved in various chemical development projects for the supply of materials for early toxicity studies and chemical development of NCEs and APIs. He was a Post Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Applied Biological Chemistry, University of Tokyo, and Post Doctoral Research Associate at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry, University of Mississippi, where Dr. Rama Mohan did certificate programs in IP Management and Project Management.
